On November 24th, at Colorado School the Kindergarten and pre-school classes got together to have a feast with fellow classmates and teachers. “
“My favorite part is the feast,” said Rees Holaday in Mrs. Tuleys afternoon class. Muffins, popcorn, and chocolate milk were a few things the kids got to enjoy.
“The turkey is my favorite, you get to eat a lot” said Kindergartner Jayana Carlson. The Indians presented the Pilgrims with a friendship necklace, that they made in class previous to this special day.
“My favorite part is eating corn, and my Aunt CJ comes to my house,” said kindergartener Darby Ireland. They sang songs and talked about when the pilgrims first came to America and the ships they came on. They talked about the food the pilgrims learned to plant and irrigate from the Indians.
“They get to start learning about the thanksgiving story, it’s great interaction with fellow classmates and pre- school. The kids really enjoy it,” said Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Tuley.
